A Community of Passionate Supporters

Listeners Legacy Circle

Each year, New York Public Radio receives legacy gifts from passionate supporters who believe in the future of courageous, independent public media. The Listeners Legacy Circle (LLC) was formed to recognize the vision and foresight of these essential partners, and to bring them together as a community. There are a variety of legacy gifts that can be customized to meet your financial and philanthropic objectives. There is no minimum donation required for membership, and you may choose to have your membership remain anonymous. We would be honored for you to join us!

As a member of the Listeners Legacy Circle, you'll enjoy invitations to special events, behind the scenes tours and live broadcasts from the Jerome L. Greene Performance Space. LLC members also receive invitations to attend exclusive events, including our annual luncheon featuring WNYC & WQXR hosts and talent, and obtain a subscription to our NYPR LLC newsletters.

PaulaMarie Susi

"WQXR is simply a part of my everyday life. It's what I turn on first thing every morning. It carries me through my workday. No matter how stressful a day, it keeps me going. It is a constant source of enjoyment all day, every day. Because I want the next generation to enjoy what I have, I became a member of New York Public Radio's Listeners Legacy Circle."

—P. Susi, Listeners Legacy Circle Member

"I listen to WNYC every single day. The station is New York City. It takes the pulse of the city and transmits it back to us succinctly and intelligently. Placing it at the top of my list of organizations that mean the most to me when I created my estate plan was my way of giving back to the station that serves me and the city I love so well. I feel wonderful about it!"

—Virginia Chakajian, Listeners Legacy Circle Member

Melissa Williams

"Over the years WNYC has become an essential part of my daily life, helping me to speak knowledgeably about current events—local, national and international—as well as music and culture with my colleagues and friends. When I was recently updating my will and reflecting on what organizations were important to my life, it seemed only fitting that I include WNYC in my plans—to help ensure the station's continuity for future generations and as my way of saying thank you."

—Melissa Williams, Listeners Legacy Circle Member

"WQXR opened the world of classical music to me. I've been a listener since I was 12 years old. Listening and learning about classical music literally changed my life. WQXR is a New York and now global treasure, and I want to make sure it continues."

—Bill Corry, Listeners Legacy Circle Member

Ruth Kram

"I don't remember exactly when I started listening to WNYC, but it's become an integral part of my day—from the bed, to the kitchen, to the car! I really feel that it expands my world, enriches my life and satisfies my curiosity. Because I wanted to help sustain the programs that I had come to love, I decided to set up my first charitable gift annuity almost ten years ago. Don't ever think that whatever you can give is not enough. It's a start and will help keep the stations we love from disappearing in the future."
